Come and hear the best and brightest UNSW PhD candidates pitch their world-changing ideas. Participants have just three minutes to explain what they are doing, how they are doing it, and why it is important. 

The winner will receive a $3,000 cash prize, and will have the honour of representing UNSW at the 3MT Asia Pacific Final. Additional prizes include runner-up $1,500; third prize $500, the People’s Choice award $1,000, and the $500 ASPIRE prize awarded by high school students.

This year’s judges include the former Chief Executive of the Sydney Opera House and General Manager of the Australia Council, Michael Lynch AO CBE, award-winning investigative journalist Sarah Ferguson, Science journalist Genelle Weule and UNSW Scientia Fellow Bram Hoex.
