Join the Innovation Hub and Vince Frost of Frost*collective in the first of a series of Creative Conversations designed to explore important developments in the creative industries. In this first conversation, Creative Disruptions, Vince will be joined by founder of Future Minds Lab Professor Joel Pearson, intellectual property specialist Jules Munro and Kartini Ludwig, founder of digital design and innovation studio Kopi Su.

PANEL BIOS

VINCE FROST

Vince is the Founder, CEO and Executive Creative Director of Frost*collective. He's also a globally recognised and awarded creative who is passionately committed to designing a better world.

After becoming the youngest Associate Director at the infamous London design consultancy Pentagram, he started his own studio, Frost*Design in 1994. In 2004, Vince relocated to Sydney where he works with his strategic creative team at Frost*collective together with leading arts and cultural organisations, government, and business to help bring visionary ideas to life.

In 1996, Vince was awarded Designer of the Year at the Charters Society of Designers and has since received numerous creative awards from A&AD, Art Directors Club (New York and Tokyo), The Society of Publication Designers New York and AGDA Australia.
 

PROFESSOR JOEL PEARSON

Joel Pearson is a psychologist as well as a neuroscientist, and is the Director of Future Minds Lab at the University of New South Wales. He is also Head of Innovation & Enterprise in the School of Psychology at the same institution.

He initially studied art and filmmaking at UNSW Art & Design, before turning to the scientific mysteries of human consciousness and the complexities of the brain.

He is a prolific public speaker and writer, having contributed chapters to several books and published numerous journal articles.
 

KARTINI LUDWIG

Kartini is the Director and Founder of Kopi Su, a digital design and innovation studio located in Sydney. Her primary mission centers around the development of projects that empower a diverse range of artists, granting them access and control over new technology.

Kartini is the driving force behind "Sonic Mutations," an AI and music performance series originally commissioned by the Sydney Opera House for the Outlines Festival in July 2023, it is set to make appearances at SXSW Sydney and the Australasian Computer Music Conference in October 2023 with a number of collaborators.

With over seven years of experience as a seasoned Producer and Digital Strategist, Kartini has an impressive track record of delivering projects at the intersection of arts, culture, and technology. Her other past contributions include working on projects for organisations such as Google Creative Lab, Australia Council for the Arts and the Biennale of Sydney.
 

JULES MUNRO

Jules is a director at Simpsons | Entertainment, Arts and Intellectual Property Lawyers, with over 21 years' experience advising clients in the film, TV, music and information technology industries.

Jules leads Simpsons' corporate and commercial, music, philanthropy and digital media practices, providing advice across a range of commercial and contentious matters. These include the acquisition, management and sale of businesses and intellectual property assets, managing and exploiting brands and reputation, infringement matters and contractual details.
