7.00pm – 9.00pm AEST
Sir John Clancy Auditorium, UNSW
This event has ended

Join the UNSW Collegium Musicum Choir for an evening rich with emotion and reflective lyricism. The program will open with the profound and moving Miserere in C Minor by JCF Bach, a work which was only discovered in 1975. This powerful setting of the Psalm 50 (51), the 'Penitential Psalm', is dated 1770 and scored for four solo voices, mixed choir, strings, and continuo. The choir will be joined by an accomplished ensemble of soloists, Amy Moore, Ashlyn Tymms, Ranald McCusker and Aidan O’Donnell, accompanied by a full orchestra. The program will close with the colourful Mass in B Flat by Haydn, highlighted by the exemplary orchestral and eloquent woodwind writing, rounding out the journey from a plea of mercy, to sparkling joy, to an intimate and reflective close.
