Join us at Kudos Gallery on Tuesday 25 February for the launch of 'Epigenetic Maternal Landscapes' solo exhibition by Clare Nicholson.
Epigenetic Maternal Landscapes remakes iconic historical obstetric models and illustrations using conceptual materials to link body–environment relations with maternal lived experiences. Epigenetics identifies external agencies trigger transmissible adversity, with mothers advised to control aetiological environmental exposures. The speculative models comprising Epigenetic Maternal Landscapes navigates somatic ‘mattering’ from whole-world problems – beyond maternal control.
