Kickstart your future at Georges River Youth Festival 2026 with this hands-on financial literacy workshop designed to help young people take control of their money with confidence. Delivered in partnership with UNSW Business School and UNOVA, and led by Dr Natalie Oh, the session goes beyond basic budgeting - exploring real-life money decisions, saving habits, and how to align finances with your goals and lifestyle.

Through interactive activities and expert guidance, you’ll build practical skills, develop smarter financial habits, and gain the confidence to make informed decisions - setting yourself up for long-term financial independence.

Dr. Natalie Oh

Host of the Financial Literacy Workshop and finance academic at the UNSW School of Banking and Finance

 

Dr Natalie Oh is a finance academic at the UNSW School of Banking and Finance, with a strong focus on education and social impact. Her background includes work at the World Bank in Washington, D.C., leadership of a non-profit organisation focused on poverty alleviation, and teaching experience across both developed and developing contexts.

 

Driven by a belief in “education for all,” her work centres on developing inclusive financial education programs that address issues such as the gender gap and support diverse, often marginalised communities, advancing the goal of “finance for all.”

 

Dr Oh’s research has been published in leading international finance journals, and she has a strong track record of translating academic insights into practical financial education initiatives. Her contributions to teaching and learning have been recognised through her award as a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA).
