HPC-AI Training Week

Do you want to know how supercomputer tools can boost your research project? Learn how to use accelerators to improve code performance or AI/Machine Learning models to solve your research problems? Join this 3-day training event hosted by UNSW's Research Technology Services (ResTech) and National Computational Infrastructure (NCI) Australia and gain invaluable insight through guided workshops, hands-on tutorials, and lectures.
This 3-day event has been meticulously designed as a progressive curriculum. Therefore, we ask attendees (especially those who are new to High Performance Computing and C Programming) to attend the full event.
Using Gadi (the nation's tier one supercomputer) and Australian Research Environment (a web-based graphical interface for performing your computational research) our NCI instructors will go over:
Day 1: Wednesday, 22 March
9am-12.30pm: Introduction to Gadi and ARE
1.30-5pm: C Programming
Day 2: Thursday, 23 March
9am-12.30pm: C Programming and GPU Programming with CUDA
1.30-5pm: Parallel Programming - introduction to OpenMP, MPI and OpenACC
Day 3: Friday, 24 March
9am-12.30pm: Running AI models on Gadi
1.30-5pm: Using Python with its limitations to the best effect
Refreshments will be provided throughout the series along with networking opportunities.
