Ignite the Spark focuses on supporting the learning needs of high potential and gifted (HPG) students across various domains and contexts including in the classroom, whole school and within communities of schools.

This year's conference theme is: Excellence and Equity - Creating Opportunities.

The conference will run in a hybrid format; join us in person at UNSW Kensington campus or live stream online. See ticket allocations to select either an on campus or online conference ticket.

Presentations, workshops, and a discussion panel will include Australian and international researchers, NSW Department of Education advisors, Australian gifted support organisations, teachers, and leaders.

Presentation topics include:

  • Creating opportunities for HPG students with disability – Stories and strategies
  • Supporting twice-exceptional students (i.e. gifted learners with a disability such as Autism Spectrum Disorder)
  • Cohesive practices and frameworks to support neurodivergent learners
  • Differentiating an Artificial Intelligence (AI) curriculum for HPG students
  • Game design in HPGE classrooms
