Former Secretary of the Australian Department of Finance

Jane Halton is a former Secretary of the Australian Department of Finance whose career within the public service spanned almost 33 years. She has extensive experience in finance, insurance, information technology, risk management, human resources, health and ageing, sport and public policy. Jane is currently Chair and Member of numerous boards and committees, including the National COVID-19 Coordination Commission. Jane was awarded an Honorary Degree by the Faculty of Medicine at UNSW in 2011, an Order of Australia in 2015 and Public Service Medal in 2002.

As Special Adviser to the Prime Minister on Cyber Security, Alastair MacGibbon leads the implementation of the Government's Cyber Security Strategy, transforming Australia's cyber security landscape to realise the economic and social benefits of a cyber resilient nation. Alastair drives the creation and strengthening of partnerships between Australian Governments, private sector, non-governmental organisations and academia to deliver national cyber security capacity and capability. Alastair also currently holds the position of Chief Strategy Officer at CyberX.
