Following their critically acclaimed professional debut at the 2019 City Recital Hall's Extended Play Festival, the UNSW New Music Collective returns to Esme Timbery Creative Practice Lab for another electrifying, genre-defying performance. Led by the internationally-established pianist Sonya Lifschitz and featuring guest artist, Music Discipline Convenor and cellist-extraordinaire John Napier, this program is  a tour de force through the iconic and era-defining works of the 20th and 21st centuries.

Featuring radical and politically-driven compositions by Frederic Rzewski and Vincent Plush, as well as music by the Australian avant-garde maverick Erik Griswold, this powerhouse concert reminds and affirms that music is a vital, pulsing and irrepressible force that speaks to the heart of our society, inviting each of us to reflect on and examine our place in the world.
