This event is open only for Postgraduate students at School of Arts & Media (Master of Journalism & Communication and Master of PR & Advertising).

Career Night brings together our postgraduate students with distinguished media industry professionals for an inspiring evening of career guidance. If you are a SAM postgraduate pursuing a career in communications, journalism, advertising or communications, you'll gain valuable insights into today's media landscape, hear success stories from established professionals, discover pathways and receive advice to build your dream career. The evening combines panel discussions and Q&A sessions designed to help you navigate your professional journey with confidence.

This event will take place in-person in Room G03, Ainsworth Building, UNSW Kensington Campus. Light refreshments will be provided.

6:00 pm – 6:15 pm: Acknowledgement of Country, Program Agenda, and Panel introduction by Program Director, A/Prof. Soojin Kim
Welcome speech from the Head of School, Prof. Michael Balfour
6:15 pm – 7:20 pm: Panel discussion followed by Q&A with audience
7:20 pm – 8:00 pm: Internship experiences of SAM postgraduate students & How to get involved in MDIA5100 Industry Internship followed by Q&A with audience
8:00 pm: Closing comments 

Please be seated by 5:55pm. The event will start at 6:00 pm sharp.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT & PARKING

The Ainsworth Building is easily accessible via public transport and the closest light rail stop is UNSW Anzac Parade (L3 line). For more information please call the Transport Infoline on 131 500 or visit transportnsw.info.

Free parking is also available in the Barker St Car Park (Gate 14) from 5.30pm. For access to free parking, event patrons must park in the UNSW Permit Holder bays, available on all levels. The Barker St Car Park (Gate 14) parking station is located here. 

Paid casual and visitor parking is offered via the CellOPark App and ‘pay by plate meters’ in all other UNSW car parks. For more information head here
