The safety of our staff, current students and future students is paramount. Following the latest government advice, UNSW has assessed the situation and will not be hosting the evenings on campus in an effort to minimise the impact of COVID-19. Instead, we welcome you to join one of our replacement livestreams.

Interested in studying at UNSW?

Our Year 10 Subject Selection Evenings are a great place for you to start if you are thinking about attending university and are currently a Year 10 student (or you are the parent or teacher of a Year 10 student/s). We will help you to navigate the HSC subject selection process, explain how UNSW admissions and scholarship applications work, and give you an insight into university life so that you can get a head start.

Navigating HSC subject selection

We know that sorting out your subject selection for the HSC can be tricky. We want to help by providing you with information straight from the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA), the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) and from our faculties and staff.

What we'll cover

We'll make sure you're familiar with what you'll be doing during HSC subject selection, but also with how your subject selections may affect what adjustment factors you may be eligible for, what the difference is between assumed knowledge and prerequisites, and how UNSW admission and scholarships applications work. Plus, you'll have the opportunity to get your questions answered following the presentation.

Just one will do

We are offering three livestreamed Year 10 Subject Selection Evenings across April and May. Please select the date that best suits you and don't worry about attending more than one (they're all the same).

Registrations are now open.
