Traveling to Carriageworks
Carriageworks is located at 245 Wilson Street, Eveleigh (a nine-minute walk from Redfern Station and a 10-minute walk from Macdonaldtown Station). Public transport is highly recommended as residential parking is strictly limited.
By Train – Redfern Station
Exit Redfern Station onto Lawson Street and turn left. When you reach Little Eveleigh Street, turn left and continue to Wilson Street. Continue on Wilson Street for seven minutes until you arrive at Carriageworks.
By Train – Macdonaldtown Station
Exit Macdonaldtown Station onto Buren Street and turn left. When you reach Wilson Street, turn left and continue for eight minutes until you arrive at Carriageworks.
By Bus
From Central, take Newtown buses 422, 423 or 426. The nearest stop is at Codrington Street on City Road, approximately a five-minute walk to Carriageworks.
By Bike
Bicycle parking is provided at Carriageworks.
By Car – Not Recommended
Casual parking is available in the Shepherd Street Carpark in the evening and on the weekend. The carpark is a seven-minute walk from Carriageworks. Unrestricted on-street parking is available in the evening on the southern side of Wilson Street, between Golden Grove and Ivy Street. There is also a small number of unrestricted spaces on Forbes Street.
By Uber/Taxi
The drop-off spot is located at 29 Wilson Street, on the corner of Queen Street.
Traveling to Leighton Hall, John Niland Scientia Building, UNSW Sydney
Leighton Hall is located inside the John Niland Scientia Building at UNSW Sydney's Kensington campus, G19 on this map (PDF).
By Bus
891 – Express service to and from UNSW from Central Station.
890, 892 (peak hour), 392, 394, L94, 396, 397, 399 – Services operate along Elizabeth Street in the Sydney city.
370 – Services operate from Leichardt, Glebe, Newtown Green Square and Coogee.
400 – Services operate from Bondi Junction, Airport, Rockdale and Burwood.
Other services include routes 302, 303, 348, 357, 359 and 410.
By Car
We recommend parking in the Barker Street Carpark, and entering via Gate 14. Parking is metered between 7.30am – 7.30pm, Monday to Friday and free outside these hours. Rates are $7.50 per hour.
By Bike
There are bike racks are available throughout the UNSW Kensington Campus.
