The 2024 Judith Neilson UTZON Lecture will address why social capital and social infrastructure are critical for resilience.

While many policies focus on physical infrastructure to reduce the impact of natural disasters, Professor Daniel Aldrich highlights evidence that social infrastructure—places that foster connections—can be even more effective.
