We are living in an era where immune checkpoint inhibitors, CAR-T cells and cancer vaccines are changing how clinicians treat malignancies, and the prognosis of people living with cancer. But it’s only the beginning. Following on from the success of the 2021 event, the 2nd Cancer and Immunology Ideas Forum will again bring together the pre-clinical, translational and clinical research community for presentation of work, scientific discussion and grant-proposal brainstorming. This will be a day of collegiality and collaboration for those working on this frontier of medicine and is not to be missed!

Toward a global epidemiology of cognitive ageing and dementia: the COSMIC collaboration
COSMIC (COhort Studies of Memory in International Consortium) is an international consortium of longitudinal studies of cognitive aging and dementia, currently comprising 57 cohorts from 39 countries across 6 continents (N=186,000). COSMIC embraces the power of collaboration through horizontal partnerships, with pooled and coordinated analyses after rigorous harmonization to examine ethno-geographic differences in risk/protective factors and biomarkers, harness data from under-represented populations, and permit cross-validation. With its global reach, open sharing of data and diverse network of researchers, COSMIC is creating a truly global epidemiology of cognitive disorders.
